What’s the Difference between a group and a team?
A group can have individuals with similar interests, attitudes and thought processes. They can be in the same room, working next to each other but not necessarily going in the same direction. In the classroom, one adult interacting with the children in housekeeping and another adult in the closet pulling materials for an activity.
A team will have two or more people working together and striving towards the achievement of a common goal. In the classroom, this might look like one adult interacting with the children in housekeeping and another adult interacting with one or two children by having them help her pull materials for an activity. In this case, all adults are striving to interact with the children throughout the course of this routine.
