I love children…
I really, really, do!! I love the way they play. I love they way they sing and dance. And I especially love the way they figure things out as they learn! It was for that very reason I went to Syracuse University and graduated with a dual degree in early childhood and elementary education.
During my 35+ years as an educator, I’ve had the privilege of teaching at a parent co-op, a nursery school, an university lab, a Title Twenty childcare center, several private preschools, and the department of education. I’ve worked with children living in poverty to working with children of extreme wealth and those with special needs. I’ve comforted children just 2 days new to our country to children of a Kuwait ambassador and those of Hawaiian descent. In addition, I’ve taught children in traditional settings as well as multi-age and looping.
After 13 years, I decided to extend my reach. I left the classroom to become a trainer, an instructional coach, a curriculum and program developer, a director of training, a preschool director and (believe it or not), a life coach! With such a wide range of experiences and knowledge base, I decided to take my wisdom on the road and become a national early childhood consultant and trainer in 2018. And once again, I have the privilege of working with leaders from Head Start programs to private and public preschools.
