What’s the Difference between a good team and a great team?

A good team will have two or more people working together and striving towards the achievement of a common goal. In the classroom, this might look like one adult interacting with the children in housekeeping and another adult interacting with one or two children by having them help her pull materials for an activity. In this case, all adults are striving to interact with the children throughout the course of center or choice time.

A Highly effective or great team will have two or more people with a higher sense of commitment towards the objectives or mutual purpose. In addition, each member understands their role in achieving outstanding and measurable outcomes. In the classroom, this might look like one adult interacting with the children in housekeeping and another adult interacting with one or two children by having them help her pull materials for an activity. With Both adults focusing on skills and concepts related to identified organizational and/or child outcomes
